Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Co., LTD., now a core subsidiary of China Baowu Steel Group) was founded in 1955. It is the first large state-owned integrated steel enterprise in New China, located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, with an annual production capacity of 23 million tons.
